Princebuild Limited win the Big Prize
Peterborough’s business community
came together on Friday 13th November 2009 at the Holiday
Inn, Thorpe Wood, Peterborough for the fourteenth annual
Business Awards organised by the Evening Telegraph.
Two hundred and fifty people representing
the sponsors, judges and business finalists together with
their guests met once again to see the presentation of eight
awards to the area’s leading companies in 2009. There
were eight categories covering retail, the environment,
customer care, contribution to the community, people development,
business person of the year, small business of the year
and finally business of the year.
|
The event is an important
and prestigious date in the commercial calendar and, befitting
of such an evening, saw the presentations hosted by no less
than Sir Trevor McDonald.
We are delighted and very proud to announce
that Princebuild Ltd., in the face of strong opposition,
won the Business of the Year award, a magnificent achievement
given that this was the first time we had entered the competition.
We have always held the opinion that our
company is really special, that the employees are simply
the best in the business and that we make a positive contribution
to our industry and the communities in which we work. To
have that opinion ratified by one’s peers is testament
indeed to the high standards we set ourselves and the quality
of the product which we deliver to our valued clients. |

IKEA choose Princebuild Ltd |
15th October 2009 |
In amongst the many letters
that David Boyd (Small Works Response Manager, Peterborough)
sent out in February 2008, introducing Princebuild Ltd to
prospective clients, there was one which would considerably
change the face of his department. Little did David realise
that by contacting IKEA at Milton Keynes he would set in
motion a chain of events which would result in a substantial
contract with this major provider of household furniture.
It just so happened that IKEA were looking
for a preferred contractor for the installation of their
kitchens. Being impressed by the content of David’s
letter an invitation was sent to us to attend an introductory
meeting. Many such meetings later with various presentations
to the senior management of IKEA coupled with a visit by
them to our Peterborough and Gosberton offices led to the
signing of a one year contract in January 2009 offered by
the Milton Keynes store.
We are delighted to report that the arrangement
between our two Companies has been highly successful. Since
inception we have installed 55 kitchens with another 44
currently being actioned and turnover for this first year
is expected to top £200,000. Our performance has received
such positive feedback from IKEA head office that we have
now installed kitchens on behalf of their stores based in
Coventry, Wembley and Bristol.
Discussions are now underway with IKEA
to include bathroom installations in 2010. This development
would appear to indicate that our client intends to continue
this valuable relationship into the future and we congratulate
everyone involved, particularly David and Glen Baker who
have been instrumental in this success story. |

15th July 2009 |
| Following an assessment
by an independent body, Princebuild Ltd has been awarded
BS EN ISO 14001 certification. This certification has only
been achieved by less than 1% of UK businesses and this
prestigious award is supported by the Government and recognised
world-wide.
Said a delighted Mark Asplin “We
have always been proud of the service we offer our Clients
and the way we conduct our
business with regard to environmental matters. Our working
practices and policies have been scrutinised by outside
experts who are used to judging standards on a daily basis
in a wide variety of trades and industries. The award of
BS EN ISO4001 certification is confirmation that our procedures
and policies are adhered to and we are delighted that our
