Project Overview
This project covered estate wide planned preventative maintenance and improvement works across four buildings at Cambridge Science Park. The aim was to enhance the overall appearance, safety, and longevity of the estate while maintaining a high-quality environment for tenants and visitors. The works focused on preserving existing assets, improving access routes, and ensuring the estate continued to operate smoothly throughout the programme.
Scope of Work
The scope included comprehensive landlord maintenance and external estate improvements, such as:
- Planned preventative maintenance across four buildings
- Specialist window restoration works
- External decoration and fabric repairs
- Roof cleaning and roof repairs
- General estate works and maintenance
- Car park maintenance and repairs
- Re-lining and refreshing footpaths and walkways
These works were delivered in a carefully managed programme, working alongside Bidwells’ Park Management and Building Surveying teams, to minimise disruption to tenants while improving both the functionality and visual standard of the estate.
Summary
The estate wide works have significantly improved the overall condition and presentation of Cambridge Science Park. The combination of specialist window restoration, roof works, and upgraded access routes has helped protect the buildings while enhancing their appearance. Feedback from both the client and tenants has been extremely positive, with many commenting on the improved look and feel of the estate and the smooth delivery of the works.
