Project Overview
Princebuild Ltd was appointed by Holt Architectural to deliver the refurbishment of the first-floor office accommodation at Kingsgate Community Church, Peterborough.
The project involved the full refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing office areas, including office space, print room and part of an open-plan office, creating a more modern, functional and compliant working environment.
Scope of Works
The works included a full internal strip-out and refurbishment of the first-floor office areas, comprising:
- Site setup, welfare provision and health & safety mobilisation
- Protection of existing finishes and building fabric
- Isolation and alteration of existing electrical, mechanical and fire alarm systems
- Full strip-out of ceilings, partitions, flooring, skirting and trunking
- Formation of new internal openings and layout alterations
- Installation of new wall linings and internal framework
- First and second fix mechanical and electrical installations, including AC units and fire dampers
- Installation of new suspended ceilings, doors and ironmongery
- Plastering, decoration and finishing works throughout
- Installation of new LVT flooring
- Reinstatement of fire alarm and smoke detection systems
- Testing, commissioning and final handover
Summary
The project successfully delivered a fully refurbished and reconfigured first-floor office environment for Kingsgate Community Church, improving layout, functionality and overall usability of the space.
The upgraded offices provide enhanced finishes, modernised mechanical and electrical systems, and improved compliance with current health, safety and fire regulations.
