20 of 28 in-store Morrisons café refurbishments have now been completed across London and the South East as part of a refit programme which is running alongside our works on main site schemes.
Work on the cafés commenced in January starting with the Crowborough store and the full programme is due to be completed by the end of September.
The refits see many additional features being added to the cafés to enhance the customer experience as well as giving them a bright and fresh new look.
Interactive children’s play areas, phone charging points and new barista style coffee machines are just a few of the new features that customers are enjoying as part of the upgrades.
All cafés have had the Morrisons ‘Fresh Look’ applied to them, which was first trialled at the Collindale test bed store we completed back in March 2016. This includes new furniture, lighting, layouts and a complete redecoration, as well as changes to the kitchen areas, the serving counter and the self-service drinks section.
The upgrades are part of Morrisons’ core strategy to improve the shopping experience and serve their customers better. Many of the new features have evolved from customer and staff suggestions which demonstrates their commitment to listening to and implementing feedback.
