Princebuild were tasked with updating the flooring in the pool viewing area. The existing flooring consisting of a mixture of carpet and vinyl tiles which were worn and dated.

Once the flooring was taken up and disposed of the subfloor was prepared including sanding down using STR machine.
A Bonded latex and feather finish was applied and new Polyflor wood FX effect vinyl flooring was laid with fully welded joints. A silicone seal was applied to waterproof the edges of new flooring where it meets quarry tile skirting and new PVC nosings were fitted to the steps of the seating areas.

The pool remained open throughout the works and extra care was required not to cause disruption to any of the school groups which use the pool for lessons on a regular basis.

The new flooring has given the viewing areas a whole new look and feel and has made the area much more welcoming for visitors.
