Executive Manager Gavin Harrison and Group Brand & Marketing Manager Carly Dadge recently visited the Roots & Rise community hub at Queensgate Shopping Centre, where they also spent time with the Peterborough Lions community group.
The visit took place while Princebuild was undertaking works for Roots & Rise, giving the team the opportunity to tour the full facility and see first-hand the wide range of support being delivered within the space.
Roots & Rise brings together local partners to provide a welcoming environment for young people and the wider community, offering activities and support focused on sport, creativity, mentoring and personal development. The hub aims to build confidence, encourage positive engagement and create opportunities that support education, wellbeing and future pathways.
During the visit, Gavin and Carly were also introduced to members of the Peterborough Lions, a long-established voluntary organisation known for its community service, fundraising and local support activities.
A key highlight of the visit was meeting the wider team, who helped showcase the work being delivered across the hub and the impact it is having within the community.
Speaking after the visit, the team said it was inspiring to see the collaboration taking place within Queensgate and the commitment from all partners involved in supporting local people.
The visit reinforced the importance of creating and supporting spaces where community organisations can come together to make a positive and lasting difference.
