We are thrilled to announce we are sponsoring two players from the Peterborough United Ladies team, Emily Sharpe and Niamh Reynolds, for the upcoming season. Directors Matthew Pudney, Jon Pudney, and Group Brand and Marketing Manager Carly Dadge recently had the opportunity to meet both players at the POSH training ground, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting partnership.
As proud back-of-shirt sponsors for the Peterborough United men’s team, we have a long-standing relationship with the club. When the opportunity arose to extend this support to the ladies’ team, Jon Pudney proposed the idea to the other directors, and the decision to back these talented athletes was enthusiastically embraced.
“We understand that ladies football is funded very differently to the men’s and that sponsorship such as this is vital to assist the players with essential support to help pay for personal insurance, travel and other expenses. And so we’re delighted to be part of the growing success of the Peterborough United Ladies team,” said Jon Pudney. “It felt like the right time to expand our sponsorship, and we’re looking forward to seeing Emily and Niamh thrive this season. We wish the whole team the very best for what is no doubt going to be a table topping season and can’t wait to watch the ladies in action soon.”
This new sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting community sports and promoting equality in athletics as we continue our involvement with Peterborough United across both the men’s and women’s teams.
Good luck to the ladies this season—we will be cheering you on!
