Princebuild’s story began in October 1971 when the business was founded in Peterborough as Eccleshare Construction Ltd, a subsidiary of the Eccleshare Group of Companies, by Derek Asplin and Stuart Pudney.
The company’s first premises were based on Princes Street in Peterborough, and it was this location that later inspired the name Princebuild.
In 1985, the business was officially renamed Princebuild Ltd to reflect its growing ambition and establish a strong identity as a successful, dynamic local construction company capable of competing with established regional and national firms.
55 years later, while the business has grown significantly, its roots remain firmly in Peterborough where its head office is still based today.
