A team of staff recently took to the water in London to compete in the annual Ryder Regatta, securing an impressive first-place finish.
Representing Princebuild were Michael Antcliffe, Kyle Merry, Max Medwynter, Adam Smith, plus Rosie Olley from Workman and Hadi Hamza from HHack Engineering, who demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and competitive spirit throughout the event. Competing against a strong field of crews, Team Princebuild delivered an outstanding performance to claim victory on the River Thames.
The Ryder Regatta is a popular charity paddling event held in partnership with Richmond Canoe Club, one of the UK’s largest and most successful canoe and kayak clubs. Based in Richmond upon Thames, the club has been promoting paddle sports for more than 80 years and provides opportunities for both recreational and competitive paddlers.
As well as providing a fantastic day of competition and camaraderie, the event also raised valuable funds for two worthy causes. Organisers announced that an impressive £4,665 was raised during the day, with proceeds supporting Crohn’s & Colitis UK and Richmond Canoe Club.
Crohn’s & Colitis UK provides vital support, information and advocacy for the more than 500,000 people in the UK living with Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, while Richmond Canoe Club continues to invest in facilities, coaching and opportunities for paddlers of all ages and abilities.
Congratulations to Michael, Kyle, Max, Adam, Roise and Hadi on their fantastic achievement and for helping to raise money for such important causes. Their success reflects Princebuild’s core values of Building, Sharing and Caring, demonstrated throughout their teamwork, commitment and community spirit both on and off the water.
