Our prestigious project at the centre:mk, Milton Keynes, has been awarded a ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ certificate by the Considerate Constructors Scheme. The project, which is due to hand over within the next week, has seen a new guest services reception and lounge area created, along with state of the art toilets, parent and child areas, disabled facilities and a prayer room.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is an independent organisation which aims to improve the image of construction across the board. Registration is voluntary and by registering you must agree to abide by the code of considerate practice, which is designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

The scheme focusses on areas of construction activity which have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole.

After an independent assessment of the site at centre:mk was carried out we were awarded marks in the following five categories; appearance, community, environment, safety and workforce. Each section is marked out of 10, with 5 being the required mark for compliance.

We are very pleased to say we exceeded the compliance mark and were awarded 8’s across all areas, to achieve the ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ status.
