Greater Lincolnshire Skills show a huge success

For the second year running, Princebuild Ltd attended the Greater Lincolnshire Skills show at Butlins Skegness, providing visitors with have-a-go activities and insights into the construction industry.

The event, organised by the Work Based Learning Alliance attracts visitors from across the county and beyond, with visitors from as far afield as Derby signing up to attend. It is the largest skills and careers event in the county and provides young people and adults with a chance to try their hand at a variety of vocations to see what they enjoy or are good at.

With our friendly mascot Peeby in attendance and working in partnership with Boston College, Princebuild provided visitors with information on careers in construction as well as the chance to try their hand at some electrical work. Princebuild have worked with Boston College for over eleven years and have successfully taken on several students, taking them from apprentices to full time members of staff.

Almost 4,000 visitors passed through the doors of the event over the two days, with a whole host of have-a-go activities for them to try their hands at, from bricklaying to preparing party food. With so many employers, training providers, schools and academies involved, the event really does showcase what Lincolnshire has to offer young people when they leave school.
