With Peeby displaying some cracking goal keeping form throughout November and December, the prize fund had risen steadily to reach a record roll-over of £300 worth of club shop vouchers.

However with a run of away games it seems Peeby had got a little rusty and an excellent second attempt shot from Steve Darner on 28th January secured him the vouchers.

Aside from ending Peeby’s run of clean sheets, Steve went the extra mile, immediately requesting the vouchers were donated to the Free Kicks Foundation.

The Peterborough based charity provide football related activities for ill, bereaved and disadvantaged youngsters, so it’s sure that the vouchers will go to good use and be much appreciated by those the charity help.

The vouchers were presented to Steve and to the Free Kicks Foundation by Peeby at the Southend United match on Tuesday 21st February.

The half time challenge takes place at all home games throughout the season, and each contestant gets three chances to score a penalty past Peeby. There is £50 worth of club shop vouchers up for grabs each game and if Peeby saves all the shots the vouchers roll over to the next week.

If you would like a chance to take on Peeby in the next half time challenge you can sign up here to be in the draw.
