Princebuilds Streamlined Energy and Carbon Report (SECR) for the financial year ending September 2025, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to responsible business practices and reducing environmental impact.

The report has been produced in partnership with sustainability specialists Beyondly and sets out Princebuild’s UK energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency actions, in line with UK Government SECR requirements.

Over the reporting period, Princebuild recorded a reduction in total gross emissions, down 2% year on year, alongside a 3% reduction in overall energy consumption. The company also achieved a significant 25% reduction in emissions intensity relative to turnover, reflecting continued investment in efficiency and cleaner energy use as the business grows.

All Princebuild office sites continue to operate on 100% renewable electricity tariffs, supported by on-site solar PV installations at the Peterborough and Gosberton offices. These measures helped reduce net annual emissions and avoided over 20 tonnes of CO₂e through the purchase of renewable electricity alone.

Transport remains the largest contributor to emissions, particularly HGVs and vans. During the year, Princebuild continued its transition to more efficient vehicles, including additional hybrid and electric company cars and the acquisition of modern Euro 6 vans, helping to reduce transport-related emissions.

The report also highlights wider operational changes, such as increased use of digital meetings to reduce travel and the commencement of Princebuild’s longer-term journey towards Carbon Net Zero.

By working closely with Beyondly, Princebuild has been able to accurately measure, understand and report its environmental impact, providing a strong foundation for future improvement and target setting.

The full SECR report forms part of Princebuild’s statutory reporting and demonstrates the company’s continued focus on sustainability, transparency and long-term responsibility.
