Saturday 30th September saw the 35th running of this iconic race which takes in ten miles of the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds countryside, which is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Caistor running club, who run under the moto ‘We run for fun’ took on the hosting of the race for the first time this year and it’s fair to say they did an excellent job.
After sponsoring the clubs Sting in the tail race in 2016, Princebuild were pleased to be able to assist the club with the staging of this long standing local race.
The race reached capacity for entries well in advance and 183 runners completed the challenging course, with Nick Martin taking the honours in an impressive time of 54 minutes 13 seconds, over a minute clear of his nearest rival.
Princebuild mascot Peeby was there to cheer runners home and provided some additional entertainment during the prize giving.
