Princebuild is taking on a busy schedule of works this summer completing works at 22 Morrison stores between early June and the end of the year.
The projects follow on from the recent success of a flag ship store fit-out in Colindale, and the completion of the Morrisons Café refresh programme which saw us transform 8 in-store cafés to the new Fresh Look design.
The plan of works will see teams on site at 12 stores simultaneously during August and includes 13 Fresh Look store re-fits, 8 essential refridge projects and 1 large store extension and re-fit in Chingford.
All work will be carried out on live stores which requires careful planning and management to ensure continued trading during the projects, with most of the work being completed throughout the night ensuring shoppers can still enjoy full use of the stores during the day.
The Fresh Look re-fits involve changes to the shop floor layouts, design and features to make them more user friendly and enhance the shoppers’ experience. Each store will take between 5 and 6 weeks to complete with the larger Newark store seeing teams on site for an additional 3 weeks.
Essential refridge works will be carried out at 8 stores taking around 9 weeks on average with the Leighton Buzzard store expected to take 12.
We have also secured a large project at Morrisons Chingford, which involves an extension to the store, as well as applying the new Fresh Look design and is scheduled to take just over 20 weeks.
