We are once again delighted to be involved in the Peterborough Telegraph Business Awards this year by sponsoring the Environmental Achievement Award.

The awards are an annual event in Peterborough’s business calendar and celebrate local businesses who are driving the local economy forwards.

This year’s awards will be held on November 21st at the Peterborough Arena and will be hosted by the Very Rev Charles Taylor, Dean of Peterborough Cathedral. The Cathedral’s 900 Appeal will be the charity benefitting from the evening, which in 2018 celebrates 900 years of the Cathedral being built and is raising money to ensure the Cathedral can accommodate all aspects of the growing and changing society in Peterborough.

Matthew Pudney, Director, said “We chose to sponsor the Environmental Award this year as we are acutely aware of the impact our own industry has on the environment, and like this year’s nominees, we too have been working hard to reduce the environmental impact our business operations have by introducing initiatives such as optimising the routes our vehicles take and diverting much of our waste from landfill by converting it to biomass energy, providing a viable alternative source of low carbon fuel.”

He also added “With our own recent Green Level accreditation from Investors in the Environment, we are not only demonstrating our own green credentials but we are also setting a benchmark for other local businesses to achieve too.”

Further details of the award winners will be on the Peterborough Telegraph’s website and our own site shortly after the event.
