A fresh new look has been applied to the Westgate Arcade in Peterborough City Centre making it a bright and stylish place to enjoy browsing the range of independent outlets.

Now part of the Queensgate Shopping Centre, the arcade was built back in the 1930’s and at the time was the City’s first indoor arcade linking Cumbergate to Westgate.

The upgrades include the application of a contemporary grey colour scheme, low energy LED lighting throughout, new tiling and the installation of brand new signs to all of the shop fronts. The refurbishment has given the retailers in the Westgate Arcade a smarter and more stylish exterior to their shops, as well as giving the whole arcade a more consistent look and feel throughout. It is hoped that the new look will not only increase footfall for existing retailers but also encourage an even greater variety of independent businesses into the arcade in the future.

The project has taken just over 12 weeks to complete and is the 5th project Princebuild have completed alongside the Rolton Group at the centre in less than 18 months. Another recently completed project involved the replacement of the escalators over Costa Coffee and work is currently in progress fitting safety features to the multi-storey car parks.
