It’s not just out on site that Princebuild have been busy over the last few months, we have also been involved with a whole host of charity and community events.

Each year we commit to supporting local charities, businesses and communities by organising fundraising events, providing sponsorship and offering our services for free to help make a difference. More information on our involvement with previous events and teams can be found on our Community page.

Back in May we provided sponsorship to Heathfield and Waldron Rugby Club to support the mini section of the club to go on tour to the Isle of Wight. As one of the few clubs that enable their mini (age 7 to 11) section to tour as a complete group, it provides a great opportunity for the youngsters and they all had a great time.

In June we provided support to the Peterborough Council for Volunteering Service by assisting at their volunteer match event held at The Peterborough town hall. The event was a great success with more than 25 charities meeting with members of the public to create mutually beneficial volunteering opportunities.

We also supported Cambridgeshire Consultancy in Counselling to host a well-being day at the ABAX Stadium. This event coincided with their 40th Anniversary and provided information on well-being at work, reducing stress and mental health in the workplace.

More recently we have sponsored the staff t-shirts at Donington summer fete, the recent weather really helped to boost attendance for them on the day and the event makes donations to several local charities. Princebuild also provided entertainment, with the inflatable speed cage at Folksworth and Maxey Fetes which also enjoyed good attendances.

Helping to celebrate the achievements of others, we have recently sponsored the Team of the Year category at the Safer Cambridgeshire Policing Awards and two categories at the Peterborough Regional College Apprentice Awards.

Ongoing support has been provided to Fourfields Primary school to assist them with the creation of their new library bus and also to Folksworth Pre-school.

Peeby has been very busy of late; greeting fans at the Posh kit launch, then on to take part in the inaugural Peterborough Mascot Olympics and also helping to raise funds for the Free Kicks Foundation  and Louis’ 18 for 18 charity at Serpentine Green.

We have plenty of other community activities planned for the remainder of year along with our new feature event ‘Blingo’ which will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and the NSPCC. This event is a totally new concept based around providing a glamorous night of big cash prize bingo – more information on this event can be found here.
