Proud to support the Kev Lawrence Breakfast Show

PCRFM is a true community radio station, promoting and supporting businesses across the city. When the opportunity arose to sponsor the Kev Lawrence breakfast show we were delighted to lend our support.

Kev Lawrence is a well-known voice and personality across the local area and with the focus on supporting communities and local businesses the show really does go hand in hand with our own company ethos.

Why not tune in on 103.2 FM across the city, listen live or just ask your smart speaker to play PCRFM – Kev is live every weekday morning from 07:00am till 10:00am.

Princebuild and PCRFM’s Community Focus

Throughout our time supporting the breakfast show we have worked with Kev and the team at PCRFM to provide local charities, good causes and individual fundraisers with a chance to raise their profile and add to their fundraising.

First with the Community Charity Challenge, which gave listeners the chance to win a donation for a charity close to their heart. Over the space of a year and we donated over £5,000 to 41 different charities throughout Peterborough.

Following on from this we held two rounds of Princebuild’s Community Champions. We asked listeners to nominate individuals, charities and groups who were going above and beyond for their community for their chance to win a share of £5,000 for their nominated charity.

The first round saw Ryan Maughan secure a £1,000 donation for CPSL Mind, Magpas Air Ambulance secure a donation of £1,500 and Marco Sementa of Team Sementa secure a donation of £2,500 for his amazing work in the community.

In the second round we were looking specifically for junior Community Champions and we received some fantastic nominations. We were delighted to award nine year old Beano with £1,000 for the Head to Toe Charity, 11 year old Noah with £1,500 for his fundraising for Huntingdon’s Disease Association and the £2,500 went to the children of Yaxley Infant School towards their amazing fundraising for Cancer Research UK.

In addition to our on-air activities we have also enjoyed supporting the Christmas Lights Switch on which we will be doing again in 2022 and also the first ever drive-in fireworks event, held during the Covid pandemic.

We were also very proud to see PCRFM receive not one but two awards at the Community Radio Awards in 2021.
