As part of a fresh concept for the supermarket chain the Leighton Buzzard store was chosen as the first trial store for the business.
With a short timeline of just four weeks and with the knowledge that this project was a trial for future schemes it was vital that the works were accurately planned and any problems were resolved quickly to minimise any slippage on the programme.
Additionally due to the stores close proximity to the surrounding houses it was particularly important that the works were also planned sensitively to avoid undue disruption. The team received praise from the neighbours on achieving this which is always great to hear.
The project included works to the exterior of the building such as car park repairs and a freshen up of all fascia and soffits. We also jet washed the entire roof giving the store a more inviting aesthetic.

Internally we undertook decoration works to the bulkheads which included updated signage and the application of a modern and fresh colour to the sales floor.
The fishmonger and butchery were merged and new tiling and flooring completed throughout.
New trolley and basket Self Checkouts were installed to improve the customer journey and some general repairs were undertaken on the sales floor.
The project was completed on time and within budget and both staff and customers were very happy with the outcome.
