Overview
Princebuild was appointed to deliver the strip-out and full fit-out of a new Boots HearingCare store in Wandsworth. The project was carried out within a live shopping centre, requiring careful coordination to manage deliveries, control noisy works, and minimise disruption to neighbouring businesses and residential properties above.
Scope of Works
The project included:
- Full mechanical and electrical reworks
- Installation of fire dampers
- Creation of an ‘Experience’ Room
- Three consultation rooms designed for hearing tests
- Two new staff rooms
- New flooring across both levels
- New ceiling to the ground floor
- Staircase alterations
- Full decoration throughout
Specialist acoustic measures were implemented, including the installation of acoustic booths and insulation between the ceiling and mezzanine floor, to ensure the consultation rooms met strict sound performance requirements. Energy-efficient LED lighting was installed throughout to support sustainability goals.
Summary
Completed on time and to budget, the store opened in June 2025 and received positive feedback from both the client and the local community. The result is a modern, purpose-built hearing care facility designed to deliver an enhanced customer experience.
