Project Overview
Following the successful completion of multiple projects at the Grade II listed centre:mk in Milton Keynes, we were entrusted with a complex endeavour: creating a new retail space for fashion retailer H&M. The project involved consolidating five previously tenanted units within the centre, necessitating the removal of escalators, staircases, roof plant, and asbestos.
Scope of Works
Consolidate and create a new retail space for H&M at centre:mk. Strip out and amalgamate five previously tenanted units, including the removal of escalators, staircases, roof plant, and asbestos. Execute structural alterations, forming new openings and infilling existing slab openings. Install a new lift pit and shaft, a steel staircase, and an external rooftop plant area. Replace the roof with a new tapered insulation design to enhance energy efficiency. Calculate U-values according to BS EN ISO 6946:2007(E) standards. Complete the project with new SR2 screed and new shop fronts. Deliver the project within a relatively short timeframe with minimal complications.
