Project Overview
Newborough Village Hall underwent an extension project to enhance its facilities and accommodate the growing needs of the community. The project aimed to add a multi-function room, expand the entrance hall, and upgrade the amenities, including the installation of new disabled toilets.
Scope of Work
Extension: Constructed an additional multi-function room attached to the existing structure, allowing the main hall to remain operational for the pre-school and weekly post office services.
Entrance Hall: Expanded and redesigned the entrance hall to improve accessibility and provide a more welcoming environment for visitors.
Amenities Upgrade: Installed new disabled toilets to enhance accessibility and convenience.
Landscaping: Conducted hard landscaping around the hall to improve the external appearance and usability of the space.
Alarm System: Installed a new, modern alarm system to ensure the safety and security of the hall.
Sign Restoration: We discovered an old sign during the project, refurbished it, and reinstalled it as part of the hall’s history.
Sustainability Improvements: Fitted energy-saving radiators and LED lights to enhance sustainability and reduce long-term operational costs.
Summary
Despite weather-related challenges, including rain during bricklaying and roof installation, the project was successfully delivered on time. The team coordinated closely with the pre-school and weekly post office, minimising disruptions. We donated a shed to the pre-school in appreciation.
The clients were very satisfied with the outcome. The project, executed efficiently despite delays, has made Newborough Village Hall a more versatile and sustainable community hub for the future.
