Overview
Princebuild was appointed by Aria Care UK to carry out the general refurbishment of seven resident bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms at Oak Manor, a live care home specialising in dementia care. The project aimed to modernise facilities and improve the quality of life for residents while carefully managing the challenges that come with working in a sensitive, fully operational environment.
Scope of Work
The scope included the full refurbishment of seven bedrooms and ensuites within the dementia wing of the care home. Key elements of the refurbishment were:
- Redecoration of all bedrooms and ensuite areas
- Installation of new flooring throughout
- Upgraded lighting to improve ambience and visibility
- Fitting of accessible furniture to enhance resident comfort and usability
- Modernisation of en-suite facilities to improve hygiene and accessibility
- Replacement of three existing timber windows with new uPVC alternatives
All works were delivered while maintaining strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and safeguarding protocols required in a live care environment.
Summary
