Project Overview:
The project involved comprehensive upgrades across eight different facilities. The primary focus was on improving heating systems, water heaters, ventilation infrastructure and water storage upgrades.
Boiler Replacement:
The project included the full replacement of heating boilers with Evomax 2 120KW x4 on a cascade frame, renowned for their energy efficiency. The new boilers boast Class NOx 6 ratings, achieving up to 99% full-load efficiency. Each boiler comes with a 5-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability.
Hot Water System Replacement:
Storage hot water heaters were replaced with Andrew Eco-Flow Compact 20/190 units to enhance efficiency and performance. The project also involved the replacement of cold water storage tanks for improved water supply.
Ventilation Upgrades:
Additional ventilation was deemed necessary, with a focus on high- and low-level ventilation specifically designed for the newly installed boilers. The existing ventilation systems were brought up to standard to ensure optimal performance.
Flue Installation:
The flue installation involved routing exhaust gases out of the roof. A full scaffolding setup was implemented to facilitate this aspect of the project.
Boiler Upgrade and Installation:
Older Ideal floor-standing boilers were replaced with modern, energy-efficient alternatives to meet current standards. Bypass systems were installed to maintain operational functionality during the replacement process.
Water Pressure Management:
The project involved managing the transition to mains water pressure while the replacement of water-related infrastructure took place.
Summary
The project not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations by delivering energy-efficient solutions with extended warranties. The successful completion of this six-week endeavour in December 2023 showcases our commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities for public services.
