Overview

Scope of Work

Structural Modifications for Rooflights 
Alterations to existing structural steelwork to facilitate the installation of two large glazed rooflight systems. 
Construction and installation of a bespoke support framework to ensure the rooflights’ stability and integration into the existing structure.

Rooflight Installation
Installation of two glazed rooflight systems to enhance natural lighting within the retail space. 

Concrete Slab Adjustments
Formation of openings in the concrete slab directly beneath the rooflights to create visual and spatial connectivity between the upper mall and the floors below.

Escalator Service Pits
Construction of double escalator service pits to accommodate new vertical transportation systems, ensuring seamless movement between floors.

Service Risers
Installation of structural steelwork to create service risers at the upper mall and roof levels, followed by the removal of the concrete slab for integration with the wider building systems.

Fire Safety Compliance 
Fireproof encasement of structural steelwork to meet regulatory requirements and ensure long-term safety and durability.
