The first Community Charity Challenge of 2024 was launched on the Kev Lawrence Breakfast Show last Friday. The initiative aims to shine a spotlight on local charities and provide them with financial support through a fun and engaging live challenge.

Neil, representing Railworld Wildlife Haven, was our first contestant. This remarkable Peterborough charity has a nature haven, a model railway and other exhibits. It is located on a landscaped former coal storage yard that once served Peterborough Power Station.

Neil secured £150 for Railworld Wildlife Haven through a random selection process. But the excitement didn’t stop there! He had the chance to double the winnings by answering a challenging question live on-air. Despite his best efforts, Neil couldn’t quite nail the answer, leaving the prize pot untouched and ready to roll over. Listen again here –https://youtu.be/XZ2PgHBGXbY

The £150 prize remains up for grabs for the next contestant, who will have their moment in the spotlight on Friday, November 8th. The anticipation is building—who will step up to the challenge, and will they succeed where Neil just missed out?

Be sure to tune in to PCRFM’s Kev Lawrence Breakfast Show this Friday to find out which local charity will be next in line for the Community Charity Challenge. It’s not just about the cash, it’s about celebrating the incredible work these charities do for our community.
