Matthew Pudney, Director, attended a heartwarming cheque presentation at the Breast Care Unit, Peterborough City Hospital, just before Christmas. The presentation celebrated the incredible fundraising efforts of Carol Collier, who raised an astounding £18,300 at her 2024 fundraising events including a Charity Ladies Lunch event with over 300 guests.
Carol, affectionately known as a ‘Fundraiser Extraordinaire,’ has been fundraising for Peterborough’s Breast Care Unit since 2015. Diagnosed with breast cancer herself in 2014, she has since dedicated her time to supporting the Unit, raising over £140,000 to date. Her efforts have made a significant impact, helping to improve the consultation rooms and funding vital equipment to enhance the experience of patients undergoing breast cancer treatment.
The cheque was presented to Mr. Steven Goh, Lead Consultant at the Breast Care Unit, alongside Breast Care Practitioners Michaela and Nikita, and Philip Fearn, the Hospitals’ Charity Project Manager. Carol was also joined by Matthew and representatives from the event’s generous sponsors, including The Remark Group, Buckles Law, and Holiday Inn Peterborough – West.
We are proud to have supported such meaningful events and to celebrate the outstanding contributions of Carol Collier. Her determination and compassion continue to inspire everyone involved in improving the lives of patients at the Breast Care Unit.
Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to Carol for her unwavering dedication to making a difference!
