Club Developments & Future Plans
Since 2018, Cambridge Rugby has invested in improving its infrastructure, including an expanded clubhouse featuring modern changing rooms with en-suite showers, a gym, physio suites, and a professional-level Sports Medicine Centre. Looking ahead, the club is exploring new opportunities to enhance player development and community engagement.
The club has been on a tremendous journey since the formation of the leagues in the late 1980s, climbing from level 7 to level 2 (Champ Rugby) in 2023. Their current mission is to remain competitive in Champ Rugby while serving the wider Cambridge rugby community and remaining financially sustainable. With the appointment of new Head Coach, former All Black Craig Newby, and a new-look playing squad, the 2025/26 season is shaping up to be particularly exciting.
As part of the new partnership, Princebuild Director Matthew Pudney and Executive Manager Kevin Elstub recently visited the club and met with Louis Mann to see the facilities and hear more about the club’s ambitious plans for the future.
