We would like to take the opportunity to recognise the long and loyal service and recent retirement of employee, David (Dave) Harris after completion of 31 years, 7days employment with Princebuild Ltd.

Dave was taken on by former Associate Director Andrew Butler on 25th July 1994 in the position of bricklayer at the age of 34. A few of our existing employees might remember the names of some of the managers that he worked for over the years, Brian Johnson, Kevin Benbow, John Clarke and David Harrold to name a few.

Dave initially worked on numerous school and council projects and has fond memories working together with our other bricklayers Pete Moulton & Frank McDonald.

Dave has been a friend to many over the years and has always been available to assist anyone, with anything when asked. In more recent years he worked for Karl Porch and Amanda Green involved in Insurance repairs and other associated projects.

In his free time Dave is a motorbike enthusiast with many miles travelled over the years, he annually attends the TT Isle of Mann races regardless of the miles and weather involved.

When asked recently what kept him employed for so long at Princebuild he said that he has always enjoyed his employment here, he stated that he has always been well looked after, treated fairly, he enjoyed working with his colleagues and managers and he always looked forward coming to work, not a day passed in all his time employed at Princebuild where he did not want to come into work.

It really isn’t quite the same knowing that Dave no longer works here and we are positive that along with the director’s thanks you will join us in wishing Dave many happy years in retirement and many safe miles and smiles on his motorbike!
