Here at Princebuild we pride ourselves on being an environmentally friendly business and we constantly seek to make a positive contribution to the environment and the community.
Our most recent initiative was to host a ‘Love Our World’ day at Folksworth preschool, with fun and informative activities designed to raise the children’s awareness of the environment in which we live and hopefully set them on a path to making greener choices as they grow up.
We organised and led various activities to help the children develop a basic understanding of the small things they could do to help make a big difference. This included; planting sunflower seeds, environment bingo, colouring in pictures relating to recycling and the world, as well as designing and decorating environmental hanging hearts for display at home.
It was lovely to see so many of the youngsters gaining an understanding of the importance of plants, animals and taking care of where we live.
Princebuild is committed to caring for the environment and is a member of the national green accreditation scheme Investors in the Environment (iiE). We are currently certified at the highest level which means that the company is achieving an annual 2% minimum reduction in resource use, as well as setting targets for improved energy efficiency and engaging staff in green initiatives.
