32 runners made up the Princebuild team who tackled the City of Lincoln 10k at the weekend to raise money for the NSPCC and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The annual event, organised by Run for All, sees thousands of runners completing the well supported and scenic route which takes in the city’s historic Cathedral Quarter.

The team was made up of Princebuild employees, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors, all of whom had been training hard for the event over the last few months.

By the time the team assembled on the start line, their fundraising efforts had totalled more than £5000 which is to be split equally between the two chosen charities.

To help with fundraising this year some key customers, suppliers and sub-contractors kindly agreed to sponsor the teams race t-shirts and in return had their company logos featured on the back of the shirts. The shirts were generously sponsored by; The Energy Cell, Beecal Electrical, HBP Systems, ET UK, Curo Wealth Management, Switch Electrical, Kamarin Computers, Total Logistics Solutions, King of Flooring and Mindray.

Many other connections have also made donations to help the team reach their fundraising target and they are very grateful to everyone who has contributed.

The team were also spurred on throughout the race by a dedicated band of supporters, including Princebuild company mascot Peeby, who was at the start line to see the runners off and also at the finish line to cheer them home.

Matthew Pudney, Director, who also took part in the event commented “It was great to see so many of our runners and supporters making the trip to Lincoln to take part in this event. Together they have raised a fantastic amount for our chosen charities and it was also very rewarding to see everyone enjoying the day and achieving their goals for the race.”
