Last month, Directors Matthew Pudney and Mark Asplin, Group Brand and Marketing Manager Carly Dadge, and Mark’s wife Sarah all volunteered their time for a hands-on shift with the charity, preparing and serving meals from the organisation’s van.

The Soup Kitchen, which provides essential meals to some of the city’s most vulnerable people, is entirely volunteer-led and relies heavily on donations to continue its work.

As part of our ongoing support for the charity, we donated 200 reusable aprons for the Soup Kitchen’s volunteers to use, helping to improve hygiene and sustainability for the operation. In addition, a £2,000 cheque was presented to the team, which will go towards covering vital food costs in the months ahead.

“We’re incredibly grateful to be able to support such a vital service within our city,” said Carly Dadge. “Peterborough Soup Kitchen plays an essential role in the community, and it was humbling to witness the impact they have firsthand. Being able to contribute not just through donations, but by giving our time, made it all the more meaningful.”

The partnership between us and The Peterborough Soup Kitchen is just one example of our commitment to giving back. With community at the heart of everything we do, initiatives like these continue to form a key part of our wider social responsibility efforts.
