Overview

Following an escape of water, Princebuild undertook a comprehensive refurbishment of its Gosberton office to restore and modernise the workspace. The project transformed the office into a fresh, contemporary environment that better supports collaboration, employee wellbeing and day-to-day operations.

Careful planning ensured disruption was kept to a minimum. During the two-week flooring installation and office furniture replacement, the office team worked remotely, allowing the refurbishment to progress efficiently while maintaining business continuity.

Scope of Work

The refurbishment included a complete refresh of the office environment, with works comprising:

• Installation of new air conditioning units throughout the office.
• Replacement of office furniture with a modern layout.
• New flooring throughout.
• Installation of new toilet cubicles.
• Complete refurbishment of the kitchen.
• Full internal redecoration.
• Creation of a redesigned reception area.
• Installation of acoustic boarding within the office and boardroom to improve both aesthetics and acoustics.
• Upgrades to the office lighting with new occupancy sensors to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

One of the key technical aspects of the project involved disconnecting and removing all existing power and data services before the furniture replacement. Once the new office layout had been installed, the electrical and data infrastructure was carefully reconfigured to suit the new workstation arrangement, ensuring every workspace was fully operational upon completion.
