25 Princebuild and Princeenergy employees successfully completed the Asda Foundation City of Lincoln 10k Run on 22nd March 2015 raising almost £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Barnardo’s Believe in Children.

Many of the employees spent several weeks training for the event and even though injuries were sustained along the way the team arrived at the starting line fit and ready to go in their specially designed sponsored shirts.

The day itself was a beautiful spring day which was perfect for the runners and the large group of supporters who had travelled with them to the event. All of the team successfully completed the race with some posting their personal best times for the distance, there was definitely a sense of achievement in the air as the team posed for photographs with their well-earned race medals.

Matthew Pudney, Director of Princebuild, who also took part in the race said; “Many of the team who took part in
this event, including myself, are new to running and all trained really hard to be able to compete. However, the training was more than worth it to be able to run together and experience the crowds cheering us all the way to the finish line.

On behalf of the team from Princebuild and Princeenergy, I would like to thank all those who generously sponsored us for this event and helped us to raise such a large amount of money for two very special charities.”
